IODE is not the only programme that deals with oceanographic data and information management and exchange. Many other international organizations, scientific and research organizations or programmes and projects as well as NGOs deal with certain aspects of data or information management and exchange. It is therefore obvious that IODE has established a number of key partnerships.
some of our current partners:
The Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS) A UNESCO/IOC Programme, that coordinate observing the ocean covering climate and ocean health and providing more accurate weather forecasts and early warnings.
World Meteorological Organization (WMO) As a specialized agency of the United Nations, WMO is dedicated to international cooperation and coordination on the state and behaviour of the Earth’s atmosphere, its interaction with the land and oceans, the weather and climate it produces, and the resulting distribution of water resources.
